Booking FAQ

How do I book an appointment?

You can book directly through the calendar on this page, or click Book Now to open our full MassageBook booking page. Both options show our current services and availability.

You may also call/text 814-424-2132 to speak with a team member directly.

Once your appointment is successfully booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you don’t receive a confirmation, your appointment has not been successfully scheduled.

What if I’m not sure which service to book?

That’s okay! There’s a lot to choose from at Fusion, and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Take a look around the website — we’ve included lots of information about each service to help you find the right fit.

Still not sure? You can book a consultation, either by phone or in person, and we’ll talk through your goals, needs, and options together.

I’m a new client. What do I need to know?

We’re excited to welcome you to Fusion! Before your first massage appointment, you’ll receive your Emergency Contact and Communication Policy forms by email. Please complete these before you arrive.

Your first 15–20 minutes of your appointment will be used for your health history and medical intake, giving us time to talk through what’s going on, what you’re looking for, and how we can best tailor your session to you. If you have a lengthy medical history, feel free to arrive a few minutes early to give yourself more time.

There’s no need to have everything figured out beforehand — we’ll take the time to get you comfortable and make sure you feel right at home.

I don’t see a time that works for me?

Our online schedule shows appointments available up to 90 days in advance. If you’re looking for something beyond that, or you don’t see a time that works, there are a couple of options!

MassageBook has a simple waitlist you can add yourself to. You’ll be notified of every opening that matches the appointment length you selected, so you can grab a spot when something becomes available.

You can also reach out to us directly and we can add you to our waitlist. When an appointment opens up within your availability, we’ll reach out and see if it works for you.

Do I need to create an account to book?

MassageBook may prompt you to create or log into an account during the booking process. Having an account makes it easier to manage your appointments, keep track of your bookings, and view your appointment history.

If you do not have email accessibility, Fusion can bypass the system if you book in person or over the phone. You will not receive reminders or have access to adjust your appointments online without an email.

Can I book more than one service together?

Absolutely! That’s one of the things that makes Fusion, well… Fusion! We love combining different approaches to help you get more out of your time with us.

Check out our Fusion Service Combos for some of our favorite combinations, or reach out and we’d be happy to help you put together the right mix for your needs.

If you are new to Fusion, we encourage starting with the New Client Massage service, and then adding service combos at future sessions.

How far in advance can I book?

We’d love to help you find a time that works! Online appointments are available to book up to 90 days in advance, so if you’re looking for a specific day or time, booking ahead is always a good idea.

Looking for a little more consistency? Naomi also offers Standing Appointments — a set day, time, and frequency that are reserved for you for the full calendar year. They’re a great option if you’re ready to make regular bodywork part of your routine and are willing to plan ahead.

Standing appointments are limited and available by request.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We understand that things come up! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible.

Cancellations must be made by voicemail or text. Missed calls without a voicemail will not be considered a cancellation, and email is not our preferred method.

  • 24 hours or less: A cancellation made within 24 hours of your appointment will be charged 50% of the scheduled service total, regardless of the reason.

  • No Shows: A No Show is charged 100% of the scheduled session. Prepayment will be required to reschedule. If the new session is also canceled or missed, no refund will be issued. A No Show includes: Not arriving within 10 minutes of your appointment start time, canceling less than 2 hours before your appointment, or not communicating about your cancellation.

  • Illness: Cancellation fees apply to illness, too. If you or someone close to you has had a fever within 48 hours, you’re feeling unwell, or you’ve been exposed to illness, please cancel more than 24 hours in advance. Massage and illness don’t mix!

  • Weather: Cancellation fees also apply to weather-related cancellations. If you anticipate that weather may affect your ability to attend, please cancel more than 24 hours in advance.

  • Outstanding fees: Unpaid fees may result in loss of online booking privileges, required prepayment for future appointments, or denial of future services until the balance is paid.

We’ll always do our best to help you reschedule when something comes up, but last-minute availability is limited and we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to find another appointment that works for you.

For all the details, you can read our full Cancellation Policy on the Resources page.

A little note from us: We truly understand that life happens and sometimes throws a curveball. We’ll always try to be understanding and reasonable when we can, but as a small business with limited resources, last-minute cancellations are tough on us. That appointment time was reserved just for you, and when it goes unused, we still have bills to pay. Thanks for understanding why we have to stick to our cancellation policy — it helps us keep doing what we do! ❤️

Is the studio accessible for those with limited mobility?

We do our best to make Fusion as comfortable and accessible as possible, while keeping in mind that we’re located in an older building.

There is one small step to enter the studio. Our doorways are standard width rather than extra-wide, and our treatment tables are electric and adjustable, allowing us to lower and raise the table while you’re on it to make getting on and off easier.

We’re happy to make reasonable accommodations when we can, so if you have specific mobility needs or concerns, please reach out before booking. We’re happy to talk through the space and your appointment with you so you know what to expect.

What if I can’t lie down, roll over, or change positions during my massage?

We have several options and will do our best to find a position that works comfortably for you. Please let us know at least 48 hours before your appointment if you know you’ll need a chair massage or have specific positioning needs. This gives us time to prepare and make any adjustments ahead of time without taking too much time away from your massage.

Depending on your needs, we can:

  • Provide a chair massage if lying down isn’t an option.

  • Use pillows, bolsters, and towels to help you stay comfortable in one position.

  • Work with you side-lying if you can move from one side to the other more easily than rolling all the way over.

  • Keep you fully face-up or fully face-down for the entire session if you’re able to safely get on and off the table.

  • Assist you with changing positions while keeping you covered, or step out while you reposition and get settled again.

  • Help you sit up and get off the table at the end of your session if needed.

We’ll talk through your mobility and comfort before we get started. You don’t have to push through a movement just because it’s the “usual” way to receive a massage — we’ll work with you to find what does.

Do you accept insurance?

Short answer: Nope! 😊

We are not an insurance-based practice, so payment is due at the time of your appointment.

However, if your insurance plan offers out-of-network massage therapy benefits, we can provide you with receipts, session notes, and other documentation you may need to submit for reimbursement. You’ll handle the submission directly with your insurance company, and we’ll stay out of that paperwork battle.

Not working directly with insurance allows us to:

  • Keep our pricing reasonable for clients who aren’t using insurance.

  • Take a more holistic approach to your care instead of being limited by what an insurance company will or won’t cover.

  • Choose the techniques, session length, and areas of focus that make the most sense for you — rather than having an insurance company dictate what is “medically necessary.”

  • Spend our time working with you, not fighting with insurance companies.

If you’re hoping to use insurance for massage, we recommend checking with your plan ahead of time to see if you have out-of-network benefits and what documentation they require.

Still Have an Unanswered Question?

We are more than willing to chat on the phone (814-424-2132) or you are welcome to book a Consultation appointment to ask questions and see if our studio fits your needs.
